My son's car needed the motor replaced. I called and asked for a quote and was given an amount that was lower than many of the other places I had checked. We had his car towed to Brown's Automotive on October 18, 2017 and paid 1/2 of the amount up front so that the motor could be ordered. When Brown's discovered that the clutch also needed to be replaced they promptly contacted me and gave me the amount to include this repair, which was a very fair price. On October 27, 2017 I received a message telling me my son's car was ready to be picked up! They mechanics at Brown's replaced the motor and the clutch in 7 working days!!! I waited a couple of weeks to post this review because I wanted to make sure all was well with the car. My son advises me everything is working great! I definitely recommend Brown's Automotive and will be returning for any maintenance or repairs we need done!

I live in Birmingham but I bought a Groupon for this place for an oil change and a "full inspection" because it was a good deal and not a chain place (local but not necessarily local to me). I drove out there Friday and told the guy I had the oil change Groupon, he said he was fully booked up for the weekend and asked if I wanted to make an appointment for Monday. I show up for my 11am appointment today and say "hello" in the office and garage a couple of times and see no one. Finally a man emerges. He asked how he could help me and I told him I had an 11am appointment and he replied, "today?", and seemed confused that I would've made one for today. He goes in to the office and dips out of sight for a second then comes out and asks if it's for a Groupon. I say yes and he tells me that they're not supposed to make appointments for Groupon and they can't honor it and I'll have to figure out a refund on Groupon's end. I say okay and then ask if he can do an oil change without a Groupon today. He says no. Does not offer to schedule me an oil change for later today or another time. Seemed like the guy didn't want to do any business with me. The best part is this morning I almost bought an entirely DIFFERENT Groupon for brake pad work from this same garage! Frown Automotive :(

Brian was awesome. I had my front and back brakes done plus a oil change for less than what most place charge for one axle. I will definitely go back for any work I need done on my truck.

Super nice guys and saved some money with a Groupon purchase. I only had an oil change, which took under 15 minutes, so I can't speak other repairs. You may need to make an appointment sometimes but other than that a pleasant experience. I will be coming back in the future

We took our Acadia there and was told it was a timing chain issue. We agreed to pay the $2300 to have it fixed. Shortly after we went to the store and started driving home... no brakes, no gas, and lights went off. So we coasted across the street fearful for a wreck. Had it pulled into their shop given recent fix. He says oh it may be the engine but we can try a $240 fix which we did. Now we're up to $2540. He didn't return calls. You cannot even get someone to answer most of the time and of course "mailbox full". Even on the first attempt to fix he would say oh it'll be ready on this date and come that date you can't reach him at all unless you just drive up there. Always some excuse. Paid for 2-3 days over on a rental car. Was told it'll be done by this afternoon. 3 days later we might hear from him. We had it towed for $75 to another shop who says "there's a timing issue with the motor". Shocking since we just replaced the timing chain!!! And it'll cost $1250 just to look and see what he's done to it. We are out THOUSANDS of dollars with no working car. I would strongly advise you to stay away from this business. If he would actually like to contact me to fix his mistakes that would be appreciated seeing he certainly will not answer a call.
